The Robinson family was one of the original settling families in South Kingstown. The Bowers, who have always been friends of the Land Trust, approached us about two or three years ago to discuss the options for the farm.

This is the perfect story for the many open lands in this town. The family knows the land best, and wants the best care for the land but they are not certain what will happen when they pass on. This is a good message that we need to think ahead.

The woodlands on the property did not qualify for the grasslands program. With the town providing the funds for the woodland portions, this is now a perfect fit.
