The run of economic data and company news we've had has been fine. There's been nothing in there to cause any shock to the market. That's beginning to give the market confidence that better times are here and we can look forward.

This has not been confirmed by the company, but it should be good news for the share price.

Hutchison should also benefit from news that India is to open up its domestic telecommunications market as the company has been expanding there pretty rapidly,

Isn't it amazing that Kozlowski is still in the news? ... But the fact of the matter is the company is doing terrific. The real story should be how well Breen has managed the company. I don't understand why people don't focus on that. I guess it's not sensational enough.

It was excellent news for the company and for the industry, which could see other companies taking the same route.
