The seniors especially have stepped up and helped the new girls. It's all about how the girls jell together. If they become friends and work for each other, then we have (good) results. Honestly, it's not about the coaching.

Our girls remind me of Steve Scott, the Olympic runner and a friend of mine. He always came from behind – and far behind.

If it's used well, it can create havoc.

Honestly, we were lucky to tie because we came back each time. Now the kids are jelling. That's the idea. They're going into the playoffs with the attitude that they can play with the best.

I always thought coaches were (jerks). In those days you had an older player that became the coach and some of them were total (jerks). You wouldn't believe some of the coaches I had in America. In Europe, you give them respect. In America, they were fighting for each other's job.
