The starters want to stay in and play, but they're not selfish. They know we have some seniors and a lot of underclassmen that deserve to play.

Larry hopes to play when he gets to Navy, but this will help prepare him for the next level of football.

We play to houses that are 15,000 to 17,000 people [compared to Broadway shows with an audience of 2,000 or 3,000]. It's a different style of entertainment. I trained in the theater to sing to the back of the house. Here, it's impossible to do that.

But our main responsibility is to make sure we go out and win the football game. If not, people aren't going to go home happy.

We should do well. Ward lost a lot of seniors from last year and we split with Santa Fe Trail. Even the teams we lost to last year, we split with. If we can beat Ward, Santa Fe Trail and Mill Valley, we should have a legitimate chance.
