The thing about volleyball is if you don't have others on the court, you can't win. We don't have the same offensive power we have had, but we have equal -- if not better -- defense and ball control. You can't throw a game like volleyball on the shoulders of one person.

She is a very dynamic player in the sense that she is able to perform at a high level at all those positions. Nicole is physically gifted. She is about six feet tall, left-handed -- which makes it more difficult to read her hit -- and she has a good vertical. She is the complete package, from ball control to power.

With this loss, I still see us being a strong contender for the state title. I wasn't happy with the way we played tonight. ... I wasn't upset we didn't win tonight, it was how we lost.
