The threat table tries to identify the states where the threat is greatest, and, when we ran the figures, Iraq came out on top.

The DRC has been an outstanding example of that for seven years. We've seen wars that have led to the deaths of millions of people, and yet it is rarely reported in the Western press.

There can be no justification for the bombings that took place in London.Britain's involvement in the war in Iraq is no excuse for Muslim extremism.However, it would be wrong for the Government to deny that Muslim communities feel a sense of unease about our involvement in Iraq.

The successful election in Iraq was an important step toward establishing an independent democracy in that country. Tremendous credit should go to the U.S. Armed Forces, who made voting possible throughout much of the country, and to the millions of Iraqi citizens, who risked their lives to vote.

I pray for the troops in Iraq and Iran and Afghanistan and I pray for everyone's family.

The question is the morning after. What sort of Iraq do we wake up to after the bombing? What happens in the region? What impact could it have? These are questions leaders I have spoken to have posed.
