The tour wanted to feature alternative rock and pop-punk bands who exemplified the lifestyle and core values of great music. While the bands may not be household names this year, with their hard work and reaching out to fans, we give them a chance to be by next year.

As a member of the NCAA, fully supporting its values, Ohio State works diligently to follow that organization's highest standards and adheres strictly to NCAA bylaws. In this matter we have acted forthrightly in compliance with NCAA rules and in the best interests of the athletics program and the university.

In most cases, the locals selected were the winner of the Sonic Bids Opening Bands contest. Where we did not hold the contest, the locals were either bands we have worked with in the past or were recommended by the local venue.

This is the first time we've done this.

Worldwide media exposure, which focuses on mainstream cultural values, has been implicated as a powerful force in shaping public perceptions regarding the value of thinness and hence contributory to the rise in eating disorders in non-Westernized populations.

We're at the beginning. But we know we need to do a better job of talking about our values in a way that people see we share their values.
