The transition from a CEO founder to a new manager is a very, very difficult one.

There was only one manager who wanted to win the game and that was me. Micky Adams came here for a draw and he got the result he wanted.

I think the salary cap would be a difficult one to impose and I've never been in favor of that. I think self-regulation is the best way if possible.

I would look at this transition to 1998 as very much of a transitional one where it's going to be back to fundamentals... where real strong understanding of the companies in your portfolio and a research-focus is what's going to make the difference with investors.

In terms of the way I played, I was aggressive, foolish at times, maybe the same way as a manager sometimes. But it doesn't really matter. It's what goes on on the field at any given minute, the players have the ball in their hands.
