The troops aren't red and blue. They're not black and white. They're not male and female. They are Americans! When they put their uniforms on, they are Americans. And that's a fact.

The fact is this: NASA was desegregated by a white male. NASA was not desegregated by a black male. NASA was not desegregated by white women.

If you have two 15-year-olds, and one is a black male, and one is a white female, some people have a very different posture of the power between the two than if it's the other way around.

Americans are inclined to see the world and foreign affairs in black and white.

I don't see the world completely in black and white. Sometimes I do.

Diversity doesn't mean black and white only.
