The truth is an artist like me who doesn't get the type of promotion that we see more commercial artists receive, and especially in this climate of the music business, you have to be creative about how you promote yourself.

Nothing will prepare you for singing the truth like about 35 years in the music business, financial troubles and a couple trips to jail, ... It will get you really humble and really truthful, and gets you ready to sing out about who and what saved you.

It's a small percentile of people who see one dime out of the music business.

You shouldn't be in the music business if you're posing.

Truth is the number one element in whatever you do with music.

Calling for change and being part of making change are two very different things. Stop calling for change and be a part of making the change you want to see.
