The (U.S.) market has held up well since last week's massacre and whilst the coming weeks will give a better indication on earnings, we hope a few...pointers will spur it forward sooner rather than later.

There are mixed feelings presently for December as most investors and analysts believe the market will end up higher. This week is expected to be even as large gains are soaked in before launching the next phase.

Consumers will continue to battle through the high energy prices as Christmas approaches, so look out for a large amount of activity in the retail sector as battle lines are drawn up.
