The Villages has over 50,000 folks living on-site and every venue was right there intact. We have to overcome the perception our venues will not be one place.

That's not including any leisure activities such as golf, fishing or kayaking.

This will set us up in the future as a larger player nationally in sports marketing. Down the road you might point at the Sunshine State Games as our next goal.

We must overcome any negative perceptions about the new site. We're removed from the center of the state where The Villages are located. The staff passed out hundreds of maps showing it's a short drive to Southwest Florida.

We have superior facilities. Our community was very attractive to the Florida Sports Foundation, which organizes the games.

Right now she seems to be living that moment, where she's coming up big in those situations.
