The way we see ourselves, handle ourselves; there's too many of us [women] who still believe the way to get to the top is our bodies, as opposed to our minds.

Women are capable of running this country. Women are capable of running the Department of the Army. Women are capable of running EEO and ATEC [Army Technical Evaluation Command], and women are capable of working over in Iraq.

We still need our equal pay for equal work. We need opportunity and doors open.

Women's right, the right to vote, was just the beginning of equality. We still have a long way to go.

The whole last month has been more stressful than anything for all of us. We thought it was all behind us, but obviously it wasn't. 'Stressful' is the word I would use.

It's devastating ... the disruption, the injustice and the loss of faith that all of us have suffered as a result of these revelations,
