The weather (Saturday) wasn't too pleasant, but it didn't stop us. No (blown away) tents, no lost pirates.

They did a fantastic job. It was an experience for both the kids and us.

Unfortunately, they had to turn back due to inclement weather. They're now waiting for the next weather opportunity to get out to the aircraft and we hope that in the next few days, that opportunity will arise.

I'm ready for some warm weather. Spring has fooled us.

Depending on the weather sometimes he has a scarf. If it's been awhile, like a lot of us were gone over the summer, we feed him when we get back.

We currently have a sustained operational atmospheric observing system that has enabled us to dramatically improve atmospheric weather forecasts. We have invested in operational ocean observing systems in the Pacific that have enabled us to provide successful El Ni–o-based seasonal atmospheric forecasts. This report calls on us to take the next step and expand the operational systems to the global ocean.
