The worst day was the day I got the knocking at the door and I got the news. I guess that's every parents' nightmare.

If she set her mind to it she'd do it. She just had that kind of spirit.

She was very smart, a really sharp kid -- she could have done anything she put her mind to. We called her 'Pokey' because she was always poking her little nose into everything. One thing about Diane was she was always trying to help someone else -- someone always had a bigger problem than her.

Toronto has finally lost its innocence. I think we're going to feel this day for a long time to come.

Because it wasn't a major news day, per se, it was also smart to open as quickly as possible.
