The years after 50 can be a time of great productivity, meaningful work, pleasure, creativity, and innovation. It's a huge opportunity.

Real luxury is time and opportunity to read for pleasure

No baby boomer has a completely original idea, but after 13 years on 'Today' and another 11 on 'Dateline,' almost 30 years total at NBC, I felt the urge to find out what was 'behind the camera.' I had the feeling there was 'something more,' though 'more' might be less.

To a certain extent, the demands on productivity are so strong and the pace of innovation is so great. There is tremendous pressure and need to spend money on the business infrastructure to continue to maintain and improve productivity.

It's been a long time and a whole lot has happened, and it's really a pleasure and a great opportunity for me to be back with the Lakers and be given this opportunity to help them get back on the winning track,
