There are a lot of kids in it who are not music majors, not theater majors, which is really great. It's campus wide, it's really inclusive.

We are very pleased that Mr. Purviance has decided to have his first concert in Hawaii at the Palace Theater.

I think so few kids rarely see theater anymore, especially Shakespeare. When they see it performed well, they realize it's not a boring story, and they can understand it.

There's movement. It's very physical. There is live music happening onstage. I think of this as total theater.

The theater will definitely get its use. It's going to be there forever, or at least as long as all of us will remember.

If you look at our key demographic of 21- to 34-year-olds, there are more kids going to college, they have college debt, more young people have credit cards, there are higher gas prices. That beer at the end of the day has become a luxury.
