There are around 20,000 people in Gretna alone who have not evacuated. We're taking in ready-to-eat meals, mobile kitchens, food, water, building materials -- everything these people desperately need right now.

Our helicopter has been granted permission to fly and we're receiving offers from across the country of wonderful donated items to give out.

We've been given special permission from the Coast Guard to sail with supplies to areas that are still closed to regular traffic. We received a special invitation from the mayor of Gretna, and our ship Hope is sailing with food, water and other needed supplies.

I think that most people that are on those roads are familiar with them, and the rare instance that they aren't familiar with them, we do have two of these signs.

We've had a lot of people come around, just wondering what we're building here. We welcome that. We like giving tours.
