There are several parents who feel that it is time their students become part of the mainstream and go directly to Gene Witt Elementary. And there are a few that still feel they should remain in a small environment.

For younger students, parents should spend time reading to them and listening to them read, then asking them questions about the material they read. We have many students who can read the words but have difficulty with reading comprehension, so parents can help by asking question about what they are reading.

It is our intent to holistically reach the youth of this community.

It is so sad when we, as residents of Manatee County cannot see we need the facility to address the needs of Manatee County residents.

I have not signed anything. I can assure you I would know if it had come to us.

My fear is the isolation of the school.
