There are ways to coach -- one is not to lose and the other is to coach to win. I learned a long time ago that it is a lot more fun to try and coach to win. If you want to be critical, it was my decision to try and score before the half, leaving time on clock.

That saved one of my assistant coaches; that's all that did when he fumbled the ball. I'm not going to tell you the assistant. He shouldn't have done that.

You have to look at not only who you would like to win but also who you'd like to lose.

Momentum is everything to these kids. You see kids lose matches in the semifinals and not win another one.

When we win, we coach. When we lose, we soothe. It's an opportunity to get them to see things on the field. If they see it, they can apply it. It's time to get focused.

It's always tough when you lose in the first round. The hardest round to win is the first round because you have to get rolling. Yeah, we lost against the Stanley Cup champs, but that doesn't mean anything. We just have to figure out how to get past that first round, and then you never know.
