There can be no question a stable and democratic Iraq is in the vested interest not just of Germany but also Europe,

Germany is ready to make a substantial contribution to help rebuilding a democratic and stable Iraq,

We can only point out that not only is Germany sad, but there are signs of solidarity from the whole world,

Germany and France are united in their horror over the accident.

Whatever minor differences we have, this task can be taken on only by Germany and France together,

They have it wrong in asking if Schroeder favors Britain over France, or France over Britain. Schroeder favors Germany. That is what we all have to understand.
