There have been four other (American) teams in 30 years that have won medals at the world junior championship. If we're fortunate enough to be able to do that, in my opinion, that's a solid accomplishment and I would absolutely be proud of that.

We have a chance to compete for a medal and only four other (American) teams have won one of those. In my opinion, that would be a solid accomplishment. But am I disappointed that we aren't competing for a gold or silver? Absolutely. That was our target.

They were ridiculous times. After I won my world championship in 1976, I went to Japan.

If you want to see a winner, you take a look at Neil Callaway and see how many championship teams he's been involved with. He's one of my favorite people. He's never forgotten where he came from. He could call me anytime, and I'd do anything for him, and I think that goes the same way.

I also said that if he won the PGA Championship I would make him my first alternate and still have him serve as my captain's assistant.

It feels like we just won the Pac-10 championship.
