There is a chalk outline being drawn around common sense, and most people cannot even identify the victim.

Even though common sense tells us that a piece of evidence doesn't need to be examined, we'll usually examine it anyway. If we find clothing with a rust stain on it, we need to look to see if it might be blood. A prudent prosecutor is not going to take the chance.

Nobody with common sense would come in and put this stuff down. That's what they're telling us: They don't want us to be buried here no more.
