There is no auto pilot in U.S.-China relations, but relations have matured to the point where neither is this a terribly unusual meeting.

The point is not to lecture. We approach this from the premise that U.S.-China relations are good and we're committed to making them better.

No other country has the right to interfere in bilateral relations between China and other countries. In our view, agreements reached between China and other governments should be followed.

We're not at the same place as the county. Our system has not matured to the point theirs has.
