There might be a lot of stations with expensive gas in the tanks, and they might not be terribly inclined to lower the price until later in the week.

That's not it at all. Our gas stations are just like our stores, we'll certainly be competitive in the market. We think the community will really enjoy it.

We're advising motorists not to top-off their tanks. With the price of gasoline escalating, motorists can conserve gas by making sure their vehicle is routinely maintained, consolidating trips, car pooling, using mass transit and for short trips try bicycling or walking.

It's really hard getting people out of their cars.

I don't think that by any stretch of the imagination you can say that the cap has contributed to lower prices. In fact, it has led to higher prices.

They can lower prices in order to get people into the stations, or they can just hold on to their inventory. I just don't know which of those is going to play out. Maybe you'll see a bit of both.
