There were days when children would have to help him make it from the bus to the classroom.

He did get to running and moving well and he could be a mischievous little first-grader. Those are the times I loved.

He came to school to learn and in turn he taught me the greatest lesson of life. Everyday I think about how important life is and how valuable life is.

In any classroom, all children are not on the same level, ... When I was a high school teacher, I stood in front of the class and taught algebra. But I learned before I left that I had to walk down the aisles and look at each person's paper and see what each person is doing. That's my philosophy. You teach individuals, you don't teach algebra.

Our plan is that there is no impact on students in the classroom. We are there for the children and this won't impact classroom instruction.

We can learn from them. They can create an environment in the classroom where the children who are from the mainstream can get another view of world reality.
