There were less subscriber losses at AOL. They did a decent job there.

From the consumer point of view, there may be questions about whether you'll have to be an AOL subscriber to get Time magazine. That combination of media with the access is one through which you may be able to block access to your competitors' subscribers.

$750 million is a decent chunk of change, and AOL Time Warner is trying to pay down debt, so this would help a little bit from that perspective, ... But with all of AOL Time Warner's issues, the antitrust case was not front and center.

Netscape is less and less of a priority for AOL Time Warner, and this is just another step in the slow sun-setting process of Netscape Navigator.

The problem suggests the solution.

We've become decent. Our losses are not for lack of effort. It's just the turnovers lead to easy buckets for them, while we're unable to score.
