There's something about being in a house with an audience, and having that immediate feedback. I started acting because of that energy; it's what feeds me on stage and informs my choices.

My background is in acting, so I enjoy being able to show what I'm looking for. With acting, it's very immediate when you show someone what you're looking for, and the feedback is instantaneous as well.

One of the biggest challenges, acting-wise, has been charting a character's growth through the length of an entire season. On stage or in film, I'm able to see a character's journey from beginning to end in one story, but on 'Lost,' every episode opens a new chapter for Jin. It's a lot like real life, actually. You wake up every morning and never quite know what's going to happen. All I can say is that so far, it's been a really great ride.

I'm funny at home too, but not deliberately. My wife is usually laughing at me rather than with me.

It saddens me to know that I jeopardized the welfare of the kind people of Hawaii, a community that I love and call my home.
