There's such a big buzz around boxing at the moment. Everything's happening and there's so much building up with a lot of young talent coming through.

Boxing has kept me off the streets, stops me smoking and drinking and gives me something to do.

But my promoter Frank Warren knows what he is doing, and has been through this cycle many times with other fighters.

Boxing promoters, for all the bad [things] you say about them, have an eye for talent,

[Former coach Buzz Peterson] left [Pearl] some very good players. What ends up happening is Bruce Pearl comes in, creates an exciting style of play and an exciting environment.

We feel like we've recruited the talent level, the caliber of player that we need to win the conference championship. That is the goal.
