There's no dunking [with Jose], no jumping buildings in a single bound. He's just a good 'ole basketball player … and you have to deal with him all night long.

They're great kids and I feel fortunate to have been able to coach them. Not only are they good basketball players, they're great kids and they deserve everything that they've gotten. They all had different roles on the team but no one person's role was more important than the others.

Nobody sees Granite Hills as a basketball school. But we're the real deal this year.

We felt like we just starting to do some things, and play Riverside's type of basketball, and were getting ready to make a run. It was a pretty major injury, her head and lower back and legs were hurting, and it hurt us to lose our senior leader and our captain.

With the program where it is right now, it's a nice statement of commitment and continuity.

We were good in all areas in the second half. When we're moving the ball, there's more of a semblance of order out there. When we got anxious, that fit into the frenetic pace they wanted. We don't mind playing fast, but we do like it to happen in an orderly fashion.
