There's no such thing as protocol,

I have no idea. Our protocol is the same as it's always been: Bernie and I, at the end of the season, map out the next season or two.

Actually, it went better than I expected. I was a little apprehensive. I wasn't real excited when I saw it was a TV game. But it went OK. Tomorrow's going to be a big test for me to see how it feels.

My throwing motion, the actual motion, is better than it's been in a while. Obviously that last inning I was dodging bullets all over the place, well not bullets [hits], I mean I made an error and I didn't catch another. But that's good, I need that, too. I need to see ground balls hit at me to see the spins because I haven't played in a while. So I think in the overall thing [Saturday's game] was a success.

We talked about taking a month or so to try to strengthen my shoulder and try to see how my shoulder reacted to non-baseball things. Not throwing a baseball, not hitting a baseball every day.
