There's probably going to be about $100 million spent to buy the property ... for all the roads and everything that goes into that. Guess who has to pay for that? It's going to be us, the taxpayers. We're going to pay that money.

For a $3 million-plus property, the average amount spent is about $10,000.

Our constituents know how bad our roads, our sidewalks, our infrastructure is.

How you look at a situation is very important, for how you think about a problem may defeat you before you ever do anything about it. When you get discouraged or depressed, try changing your attitude from negative to positive and see how life can change for you. Remember, your attitude toward a situation can help you to change it -- you create the very atmosphere for defeat or victory.

Halfway through the decade, we realized that we had a great team and that we could do great things, and that we could probably have something here that we believed we had a chance to reach greatness.

We've always been very close. But right now I feel there needs to be a change in the direction from where our national administration has taken us and where the Republicans in state government want to take us.
