There's some irony that in Social Work Week, the women and men who care for adults with developmental and physical disabilities, who counsel teens in trouble, who help women in crisis, can't get a collective agreement that offers them some respect.

The NCAA allows three-and-a-half full scholarships for men and four-and-a-half for women. Ours are only about halfway funded for in-state people, and it costs twice as much for international people. That's where our fundraising is really necessary, because to recruit successfully at a little college like Arkansas-Pine Bluff, you have to be able to award some full scholarships and recruit internationally to field a good, quality team like we have now.

Confound you handsome young fellows! You think of having it all your own way in the world. You don't understand women. They don't admire you half so much as you admire yourselves.

And, of course men know best about everything, except what women know better.
