There's something about St. Louis being a big town made up of little towns. At events like this you can't help but run into 10 or 12 people you know.

It just doesn't seem right to us that the lady players could play in three events and could take away significantly more than the men's champion who battles away through these best-of-five matches. We don't see it as an equal rights issue.

It's just so expensive to put on these events it just made it very difficult to continue without a title sponsor. We probably could have run the tournament, but we probably wouldn't have been able to give this kind of money to charity.
