There's very, very little that this state legislature does that can't wait a couple of days. I don't think it's really too much to ask to have legislators participate in the debate and cast their own votes.

There's got to be a point where the state legislature or somebody says wait a minute, there's hog free zones. We got to have that. We got to have some local control back for our board to be able to say 'no'.

It's better to make a couple thousand dollars in one day than to wait table six days a week.

The Legislature is supposed to represent the citizens of the state, and I don't think on this issue they're reflecting the will of the people.

What the people needed most from the forthcoming Budget was certainty. I am calling on the government to establish a ceiling on utility tariffs and to commit itself not to raise administrative fees.
