These freshmen girls are talented, motivated and they run with heart. That's what this program needed.

The older girls help the young girls know what they're doing and the young girls keep the older girls moving.

At first, we had to go over a lot of basics. These girls were like giant sponges. They soaked up every lesson they learned.

We came up a bit short. I can't ask for anything more from my girls. We gave it everything we had. We left it all out on the court.

I told the girls being seeded 8th - we have nowhere to go but up. We beat Westford Academy in a dual meet already and when it comes to Sectionals - our kids usually rise to the occasion while some of these higher seeds can't handle the pressure and fold.

These kids had the heart of a champion. There were about 15, 20 situations in that game where things would start to slip a little bit, and somebody would make a play. Different kids at different times stepped up and I couldn't be any prouder.
