The kids really stepped up to the plate and played extremely well on both sides of the floor. We switched to a half-court defense, and that slowed down Johnston and allowed us to get some transition points.

I think Kevin, Britni, Caroline and Josh will be competitive while they figure out their pacing, ... For the other kids, this will be an experience for them. It's their first varsity race and I just want them to go out and get comfortable and get a feel for the distance.
