They are as good as advertised. They are No. 1 in the state for a reason, and I was especially impressed with their two guards.

He really set the tone for us today. He struck out the side in the first inning and then hit his two-run homer in the bottom-half of the first.

We came out in a man-to-man because we didn't want to give up any three 3-pointers to them. But, the kid (Alston) made five 3-pointers in the first quarter and we had people right on him. He was hitting them from way out.

We have a number of seniors on the team, some who didn't get a lot of experience last year. And, I believe we're a lot better than our 12-12 record would indicate.

This really never gets old. This year is different then the year before because this time this group of kids has the ownership of the team and they definitely wanted to win.

Physically I think we were there, but mentally, for whatever the reason, we were not where we needed to be at all.
