They are definitely an improved team with Garcia and Palencia added to their lineup. These are guys with [Mexican] national team and World Cup experience.

When you got a few guys out of the lineup, the other team has the puck. It's almost 60-40. When you got the puck, you're not going to be taking many penalties. Sometimes, it's now how many you take it's when you take them.

He absolutely stepped up today. They have good hitters in their lineup and he hit his spots.

There are a few guys (on the Mexican team) that we do know, that I'm able to recognize and realize what they can and can't do. But as it goes on now, we're able to get a little more film. I'll look over what Jake did, and some of our other right-handers, and then I'll make my assessment from there.

We've skated a man short in our lineup lately, and Jeff helps us fill that void. He brings an added dimension of grit that will complement our team in the area of toughness.

The team at Brookline definitely had it. Definitely had it. It was a great mix of guys.
