They are ranked No. 2 in their small-school division in Pennsylvania. They are a very good team. They got some big hits when they needed to, and their pitcher did a great job commanding the game.

We have played with each other and against each other since high school and have begun to learn each other's tendencies. I think when he does well or when I do well we tend to feed off each other and put together our best effort.

It's a great atmosphere and we're proud to represent our school. We're definitely going to enjoy this but at the same time I want to put the right amount of pressure on us to make us play up to our potential. It will be a lot more enjoyable if we win the whole thing.

I didn't have very rosy prospects in school,

Anybody in our league would have died to have him out of high school. He does all the little things. I don't think anybody really tried to see what his offensive talents are. He can shoot from 15 feet, he rebounds and finishes around the basket. I'd be surprised if he wasn't a double-double player for us.

We set a school record with seven WPIAL qualifiers last year. Our previous high was five. Our goal this year is to set a new record, and I think we have the talent required to do that. The kids just have to stay focused.
