They cannot make it say what they want it to say. And this is the beginning and the end of the case for retaining the old language: If the churches give it up, who will remember how to say what is said?

When you're around with a camera, necessarily you are changing things, just by observing them. The goal, for me, was not to change things very much. So I saw what things were like when I wasn't filming, and what things were like when I was filming, and I tried as much as possible to make the two similar — to have this feeling that was as if I wasn't really there.
