They got the guys that they wanted to sign, and they also got two good corners in (Kelly) Herndon and Andre Dyson. So everything worked out for both teams. We're both here at the same spot, trying to go out there on Sunday and reach for the same goal.

The good part is that I don't have to rearrange anything to do something. He's pitched with both guys -- Kelly most of the spring and Jorge for two good games during the season.

One of the amazing things about 'Seven Samurai' is that there are a lot of characters. And considering you have so many, and they all have shaved heads, and you've got good guys and bad guys and peasants, you get to understand a lot of them without too much being said.

Kelly has a tough job backing up a player like Matt, but I am glad I could get some of next years' players into the game. I think that will improve our team later in the season.

We had our two and three hitters on three times. But, we either missed a sign or made a mental mistake and couldn't come through with a clutch hit. Those are the things we have to get better at.

We still need to sign guys. We have workable depth, but we need more. The more guys you have that can handle the ball -- pass and shoot and create -- the better for everyone.
