You have to give the oil from the brain mixture somewhere to go. That's what you're doing, replacing the water with oil.

There's talk about oil showing up in the water now so I imagine they're frantic now.

Not to invest in deep water would not only be irresponsible, it would also mean we couldn't maintain oil production in the medium and long term.
