My contention is evolution kills people. It's not that evolutionists don't have morality, it's that evolution can offer no morality. Ideas have consequences. If you believe you came from slime there is no reason not to, if you can, get away with anything.

What this does is open the door for teachers to bring creationist arguments into the classroom and point to the standards and say it's OK.

They (state school board members) are allowing the intelligent-design minority to bypass the scientific community. While not specifically mentioning religious concepts, it's advancing a sectarian religious view. They're treading on some constitutional grounds here.

They've given a green light to any creationist throughout the state to bring these issues into the classroom. Science teachers are not prepared for that discussion and don't want it, because they've got plenty of science to teach.
