They really helped me today. I'm always getting help from the others. We worked on that in practice and it came back to help us.

That game hurt a lot. I took it personally. I should have done better than I did. I thought about it all year. It was my determination to get back again and get another chance. Since I'm a senior, I figured this was my last chance. I had to make the most of it. I knew that this was my year.

It does make things a little sweeter. I really didn't want this moment to end. It was a great feeling.

Seeing it in person helped. It's very rule-oriented, the refs are right there to step in, they don't want to see anyone get hurt.

It was definitely something I wanted to improve on. It was just reps, reps, reps in practice. That helped me secure the ball more.

There's 22 practice days between [today] and our first game [Nov. 12]. You would like to lay the foundation, like you would with a house, and the success of your team depends on what you build those 22 practice days. Last year, we were never able to get after it because of those situations. I don't see that as an issue right now, cross your fingers.
