They say it takes a village to raise a child, and it takes a church to raise the village. Today, I come home as the child that village raised, to be mayor of the village.

I think Marquette Park is one of our pearls in an oyster that we need to shine up.

Today there are gays and lesbians in church groups outside of my own denomination, but there are tens of thousands who want to be a part of the Universal Fellow ship of Metropolitan Community Churches. We continue to expand and grow and carry the good news that Jesus died for our sins, not our sexuality.

The Church used to absolve sinners; today it has the gall to absolve sins.

One of the things we had been asking for all along is a church vote, and we had one today.
