They see what's behind the work.

The elevation of it adds to the perspective of the whole structure. It started as a necessity because of the uneven level, but it added value to the relationship of the structure to the yard. It makes it a little more interesting than being at the same level of the ground.

There's not that much level in nature. But a deck where you want to put furniture and chairs needs to be level.

There's a need for many of these children to work to help the family, but it shouldn't be exploitative or keep them from getting an education, which is often the case.

Teenage girls in Africa are the most vulnerable population in the world. They do more work than their brothers. They are far more vulnerable to dropping out and being forced into domestic labor ... forced marriages, prostitution.

Anybody who is in freelance work, especially artistically, knows that it comes with all the insecurity and the ups and downs. It's a really frightening life.
