They were exactly what Branford hockey is all about. They played disciplined, worked hard, and fore-checked. We need more of that.

The last I checked there's another game to be played. We have to put this in our minds as a learning experience.

Marquette is a very fast and disciplined hockey team and they gave us a lot of trouble. We had a solid game plan, but didn't execute it. Plus, we had 12 minor penalties and you can't survive against a team like Marquette with that many penalties.

Deco was brilliant against Mallorca. He played like he did last season. He made some great challenges, worked really hard and made some very intelligent passes.

We worked really hard with the doubles this year and we played better, we just couldn't get over the hump. Scott Conner moves on, and Blake Douglas set a school record for wins at the No. 2 spot, ... I'm pleased with the effort, we just couldn't get over the hump.

We've worked hard since we started and all the work is paying off. Most of the players have played in the off season over the last few years to help build their skills.
