They were tired. We played two lines for two games. It's hard on the kids. That's asking a lot of energy.

We stepped up tonight. Our players know when to step up when the time comes.

I told our kids (the win) wouldn't be as big as a district game, because district games get you to the state tournament, and it obviously wouldn't be as important as a playoff game, but from where we were, at this point of the season, it was as important a game as we've played in a number of years this early.

The kids are doing exactly what they need to do to win games, be it the clutch hit or the big (defensive) play. We have a lot of inexperience out there, but these guys are playing older than that.
