They were very attentive, no sad faces. It's a tough time, but if you look through college basketball ... everybody's coming back. When you recruit kids, you tell them, 'You're lucky to get two days at Christmas.' We actually had three full days.

It's the greatest sound in college basketball. The crowd makes this noise, like ' oh no ' when a guy who's hot gets the ball and has an open look. Even before he shoots, before he makes it, the crowd reacts. It's so cool, and it's a testament to how smart these fans are. And it's fun for the shooters, too.

He's certainly not a freshman playing major college basketball. He's a man. We talk about that all the time: manlike rebounds and manlike play; not High School Harry kind of plays.

Nothing's going to be easy this year. This is as well balanced as this league's been in a long time.
